Registration for the 2026–2027 Somerset Youth Hockey Association season is now OPEN!

We are excited to welcome players back for another great season. Registration is now available for all Squirt/U10, Peewee/U12, Bantam/U14 programs.

Please note that tryout dates and equipment rental night dates will be announced soon. Be sure to check back regularly for updates.

Late Fee: Squirts/U10, Peewee/U12, Bantam/U14 will be charged a $100 late fee if registration occurs after the August 31st deadline. 

The Somerset Youth Hockey Association offers travel hockey programs for players based on USA Hockey birth year classifications for the 2026–2027 season.

Program Levels:

• Jr. Spartans (Mites): Birth Years 2018-2022 Registration Fee $300 (Both Sessions) + 20 Volunteer Hours + $100.00 Fundraising Raffle

OR $150 (Single Session) 10 Volunteer Hours + $100.00 Fundraising Raffle

• Squirt / U10 Girls: Birth Years 2016–2017 Registration Fee $675 + 45 Volunteer Hours (25 In-season, 20 Off-season) + $200.00 Fundraising Raffle

• Peewee / U12 Girls: Birth Years 2014–2015 Registration Fee $825 + 45 Volunteer Hours (25 In-season, 20 Off-season) + $200.00 Fundraising Raffle

• Bantam / U14 Girls: Birth Years 2012–2013 Registration Fee $900 + 45 Volunteer Hours (25 In-season, 20 Off-season) + $200.00 Fundraising Raffle



Players are placed according to their USA Hockey age classification. If you are unsure which level is appropriate for your player, please contact the SYHA Registrar before completing registration.

All players must register with USA Hockey before completing their Somerset Youth Hockey Association (SYHA) registration.

USA Hockey Registration Fees

USA Hockey fees are set annually by USA Hockey and are based on the participant's birth year.

Birth Year USA Hockey Fee

2022 & Younger $17.00

2021–2020 $56.00

2019–2018 $69.00

2017–2014 $71.00

2013–2008 $81.00

2007 & Older $54.00

Fees are established by USA Hockey and are subject to change.

Important Information

• A current USA Hockey Membership Number is required before you can complete your SYHA registration.
• Each player must have their own individual USA Hockey Membership Number.
• USA Hockey registration is required annually for all players, coaches, managers, and on-ice volunteers.
• Please save your USA Hockey confirmation email or membership number, as it will be required during the SYHA registration process.
