SYHA Coaching Application
Thank you for your interest in coaching with Somerset Youth Hockey Association (SYHA)! Our coaches play a vital role in developing players both on and off the ice by teaching hockey skills, promoting teamwork, and creating a positive, safe, and fun environment.
Please complete this application in its entirety. All coaching positions are subject to SYHA Board approval and may require current USA Hockey coaching certifications, SafeSport training, background screening, and any other requirements established by USA Hockey and WAHA.
We appreciate your willingness to volunteer your time and make a positive impact on our players and the SYHA community.
Extra Costs
To coach with SYHA, all coaches must meet USA Hockey requirements. The following items are the responsibility of each coach and are not covered by the association:
- Annual USA Hockey Coach Membership
- USA Hockey Background Screening (if required)
- USA Hockey Coaching Education (CEP) Clinic
- Age-Specific Module(s)
SafeSport Training is required annually and is provided at no cost.
All coaching positions are subject to SYHA Board approval and completion of all USA Hockey requirements.
